MOTRA Monitor 2022

The MOTRA Monitor 2022 documents current social radicalization events in times of multiple crises, which are represented by the terms inflation, energy, flight, migration, war and climate change. The special feature of the MOTRA research approach is an integrated overall view of radicalization processes at the discourse, attitude and action levels. This shows how different crisis phenomena were reflected in fear-mongering posts about current topics on social media and how these also triggered concrete concerns and fears for the future among the population. These were expressed, among other things, in corresponding protests, but also in social exclusion, political-extremist attitudes and even violence and criminal acts.
